Liberty’s Centre Birds Of Prey In A Studio
This is a unique opportunity to photograph birds of prey in a controlled studio environment using professional lighting equipment. Best of all the day takes place indoors so no need to worry about the weather!
Your day starts at 9.45 AM with a brief introduction and safety talk after which we go to a barn which has been set up with our lighting equipment where you will have the chance to photograph a variety of these beautiful birds close up and using controlled lighting. This is a great chance to get some stunning shots of these amazing birds and an experienced photographer will be on hand through out the day to help those who want to improve their skills or those who require advice and help, great for beginners as well as more experienced photographers.
The day will end at 1.00 PM
We supply and set up all lighting, backgrounds and sets, radio flash triggers and all other equipment, so all you need to worry about is bringing your camera and enough memory cards and batteries. Users of Sony Cameras that use a non-standard flash hot shoe attachment will require an adapter for our flash triggers to fit.
Public Days are shared between up to 6 photographers as a way of keeping costs down. This gives everyone ample opportunities to get some stunning images of these creatures.
What you need to bring: You will need a camera which has a standard flash hot shoe fitting, plenty of memory and batteries for your day. Please note that some Sony cameras have a non standard flash hot-shoe fitting that will not fit our flash triggers, although you can purchase adapters from places like Ebay.
Recommended Camera Equipment: You will need a DSLR camera or a high end “bridge” camera that is capable of being set to manual exposure with the ability to control ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed. We suggest that if you are unfamiliar with the controls you check your camera’s instruction manual before your day.
The camera will also need to be able to accept a standard flash “hot-shoe” fitting flash trigger.
Lenses we recommend are a zoom of around 70 – 200mm or higher.
Some Sony cameras use a non-standard flash hot-shoe fitting that will require you to bring a flash adapter to use our triggers. (Adapters can be found on Amazon and Ebay quite readily).
